Job for Market Research Companies
Last Friday, we had an interview with Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) - one of the big 4 Market Research Companies in Malaysia. Initially, we are looking for some part time job opportunities for our community. Normally, these types of Market Research Companies need tons of part time interviewer to help them on market research project.
During the interview, we are quite reluctant to fill up a required form to register as a Interviewer. We have no intention to become an interviewer but get some jobs for our community members. The staff keep asking us to fill it in then only talk
. Ok, I just followed what she asked to do.
5 minutes later, an officer(Ms.Zaireen) came to our place and start our interview conversation. First of all, she explains the job role as an interviewer in details
. However, the job role really out of our expectation because it still need a lot of manual processing such as call every possible candidate for interview. They don’t buy our idea of putting those interview process online. They too used to manual processing style which is OUTDATED
.
At the end of the interview, she introduced an alternative job opportunity for our community members. What is that? As a Part Time Interviewer for them. If you guys interested on this job, you may walk-in interview with them. Once you successfully hired, you will be assigned under a supervisor. He/She will assigns you some projects from time to time. These project has the expiry date. For example, they give you a list of potential candidates and your job is to call them 1 by 1. Try to verify their identity and match their profile with the project requirement. If matched, try to convince them to accept the interview. The commission/reward is varies depending on the project. The harder requirement = the better commission.
Anyway, we will contact their HR department to get more information for you guys. At this point of time, we would like to know how many of you guys interested to become part time interviewer for Market Research Companies? Please leave your contact as comment. hi, i would like to ask some question. We need to call the customer for identify their profile only? we no need to sales product or membership or etc.? then, the phone charges can we claim?
Not customer. It is the possible candidate which qualify for the survey project. You have to call from their office, but this is depending on the project type. Some project, you required to find the right candidate for them. They don’t care where you find it ( on the street / internet). As long as you manage to get them the candidate, then you will get the commission.
What is the requirement for the Interviewer positions?

You should be at least a SPM holder. Able to speak Malay / English. If you know other language then you have the plus point. Basically, you need to do some manual work on it.

Hi, I know TNS is into mystery shopping which is also a face to face interview. Are they looking for such people?

Yeah, TNS is quite big in this region. I tried to get some part time survey job from them but it turns out from our expectation. All the way, they are looking for ppl as Survey Officer. Full time / Part Time oso can.
